Google has rolled out the Android 15 QPR1 Beta 1.1 update to the Pixel 9 series, including the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL. This follows the initial beta release last week and extends support to the latest Pixel models, keeping them in line with other eligible devices like the Pixel 6, 7, and 8 series, as well as the Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold.

The update, labeled AP41.240726.010, includes the August 2024 security patch and addresses an issue where devices could unexpectedly restart. While it doesn’t introduce any major new features, it aims to improve overall stability, which is a common goal for these minor beta updates.

Eligible devices enrolled in the Android Beta for Pixel program will receive the update over the air (OTA). The download size varies but is generally small—around 3.82 MB on the Pixel 8—indicating a focus on bug fixes rather than significant changes.

This update is part of Google’s ongoing effort to refine Android 15, even as Android 14 continues to roll out to other Pixel devices. With each release, Google is fine-tuning its software, ensuring that the latest Pixel devices, including the newly supported Pixel 9 series, are running as smoothly as possible.

Factory images and OTA files are available for download across all supported Pixel models. If you’re feeling lucky, go ahead and grab the update files to test the latest Android 15 beta build. Needless to say, beta software does have glitches, so you should avoid installing it on your primary device.
